Justin Timberlake Nominated at Critic's Choice Awards

Justin Timberlake, along with Max Martin and Shellback, have been nominated for Best Song at the Critic's Choice Awards.

The annual awards, voted by the members of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), honor the films released during the previous year. The upcoming musical La La Land leads with twelve nominations including two songs up against Timberlake, Martin and Shellback. Arrival and Moonlight followed with ten each.

The best song nominees include the number one record Can't Stop the Feeling, recently named by Time Magazine as the worst record of the year, from the film Trolls and written by Timberlake/Martin/Shellback.

They are up against both Audition (The Fool Who Dreams) and City of Stars from La La Land by Justin Hurwitz, Benji Pasek and Justin Paul; Drive It Like You Stole It form Sing Street by Ken and Carl Papenfus and Zamo Riffman, John Carney & Gary Clark; How Far I'll Go from Moana by Opetaia Foa'i, Mark Mancina, and Lin-Manuel Miranda; and The Rules Don't Apply from Rules Don't Apply by Eddie Arkin and Lorraine Feather.

Best Score nominations went to Nicholas Britell for Moonlight; Jóhann Jóhannsson for Arrival; Justin Hurwitz for La La Land; Micachu for Jackie; and Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka for Lion.

The Critic's Choice Awards will be given out on Sunday, December 11 and will be broadcast on A&E.
