Neil Diamond Announces His "50 Year Anniversary World Tour"

by VVN Music

Neil Diamond will celebrate his unparalleled career next year with "The 50 Year Anniversary World Tour".

Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation who is promoting the tour, said "Neil Diamond is more than just a music icon. His singular artistry and talent has left an indelible mark on American culture and has helped shape the sound of popular music for five decades. Live Nation is honored to be a part of bringing his 50 year anniversary tour to fans around the world."

Diamond has always played career spanning shows but look for a special mix of classics from his years at four different eras as represented by his four label affiliations:
  • Bang Years - The young singer/songwriter who was having as many hits with others (I'm a Believer) as on his own (Cherry Cherry).
  • UNI/MCA - The hitmaker years with such hits as Sweet Caroline, Cracklin' Rosie and Song Sung Blue.
  • Columbia - The mature entertainer whose hit making years are slowly coming to an end but album sales are still strong.
  • Late-Columbia/Capitol - The comeback years with major hit albums produced by Rick Rubin and his first set to reach number 1 in the U.S.
American Express members can buy tickets beginning Monday, December 5 at 10 AM. General sales begin December 9.
