Kraftwerk Gets Go Ahead For Buenos Aires Show

by VVN Music

The city of Buenos Aires, Argentina has relented and will allow Kraftwerk to play at Luna Park Stadium on November 23.

The show was in jeopardy because of a ordinance set by the city government earlier this year that banned all electronic music festivals. The ruling was in response to the Time Warp Festival in the city where five people died and five more were hospitalized from drug overdoses.

The government had planned on going back to review the ruling; however, they never got to it so, when Move Concerts set a date for the Kraftwerk show, the city authorities deemed it inappropriate based on the festival ruling, citing that the band "uses synthesizers or samplers as their primary instruments".

On Monday, Move Concerts released a statement saying the show will now be allowed to go ahead:
Move Concerts wishes to inform that due to the positive resolutions from this past Friday and thanks to the joint effort of the Buenos Aires Government and the Buenos Aires Justice, it is now officially confirmed that Kraftwerk will perform at the Luna Park Stadium (theater) this November 23rd.

Starting today the final tickets available are available through Ticketportal for the 3-D Kraftwerk concert in Argentina, next November 23rd at the Luna Park Stadium.
Kraftwerk are one of the artists nominated for possible induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The results of the vote are expected to be announced in December.
