  • 1982 - Japan announced that they were splitting up.
  • 1986 - Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble opened a North American and European tour in Towson, MD.
  • 1987 - Jim Reid of the Jesus & Mary Chain was arrested in Canada for allegedly assaulting people in the crowd with his microphone stand.
  • 1992 - Paul Simon played his first concert ever in South America in support of Rhythm of the Saints.
  • 2000 - Ted Gardner, former manager of Tool, sues the band for breach of contract and fraud.
  • 2002 - Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger announced they were reforming the Doors with Ian Astbury (Cult) fronting the band and Stewart Copeland (Police) on drums.
  • 2004 - Ozzy Osbourne tried to thwart a burglary in his house by holding one of the robbers in a headlock. The perpetrator eventually got loose and escaped with over £2m in jewelry.
  • 2011 - Keith Urban underwent surgery for a growth on a vocal cord.
