Bob Marley & the Wailers' "Live" Being Expanded to Three-LPs

by VVN Music

On December 5, 1975, the classic Bob Marley & the Wailers album Live! was released featuring the best known version of their song No Woman, No Cry.

While the album only went to 90 in the U.S. and 38 in the U.K., it has been a perennial favorite of Marley fans even though it only featured about two-thirds of the music from the evening.

On December 16, the Marley Family and UMe are releasing a brand new version of the album on both vinyl and to the digital marketplace that not only fills out the July 18, 1975 show at the Lyceum in London, but also adds the entire previous night's show at the same venue.

The classic album includes previously unreleased versions of Slave Driver, Rebel Music (3 O'Clock Roadblock), Natty Dread and Stir It Up plus full length versions of the previously edited Lively Up Yourself and Get Up Stand Up.

None of the performances from the July 17, 1975 show have previously been released with a similar set list (Slave Driver and Lively Up Yourself were not played) but in a different running order.

A seven-inch vinyl disc with No Woman No Cry b/w Natty Dread will be released the same day exclusively through UDiscover and the Marley Museum.
