Watch: "The Legends of Rock and Roll" by Mel Carter and Lenny Welch

Mel Carter and Lenny Welch are both classic R&B balladeers who each had a number of hits during the 60's.

Earlier this year, Mel released a new album, Mel Carter Continues..., which includes a duet between the two singers. A video for the song was recently released.

Carter had a major top ten hit in 1965 with Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me which went to number 1 on the R&B Singles and 8 on the Hot 100. He followed with (All of a Sudden) My Heart Sings (1965 / #38 Pop / #3 R&B), Band of Gold (1966 / #32 Pop / #1 R&B) and You, You, You (1966 / #49 Pop / #11 R&B).

Welch also had a major hit with Since I Fell For You (1963 / #4 Pop / #3 Adult Contemporary) and followed with Ebb Tide (1964 / #25 Pop / #6 AC / #7 R&B), Two Different Worlds (1965 / #61 Pop / #6 AC) and Breaking Up Is Hard to Do (1970 / #34 Pop / #8 AC / #27 R&B).
