The Beatles Debut at 7 in the U.S. With Revamped Hollywood Bowl Set; Wilco in at 11

by VVN Music

Once again, the Beatles have hit the top ten on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, 46 years after they broke up.

Live at the Hollywood Bowl debuts this week at number 7. It is a totally reworked version of the band's 1977 album that went to number 2 when it was originally released.

At 11 is Schmilco, the new album from Wilco. It is their first commercially released album to not make the top ten in fifteen years, going back to their classic Yankee Hotel Foxtrot which peaked at 13.  Their last album, Star Wars, is not included in that list as it was originally given away for free before it hit the stores on CD and only peaked at 105.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have again broken their chart record in the U.S. as Skeleton Tree debuts at 27. That's two spots better than their last album, Push Away the Sky (2013 / #29).

ZZ Top have their first live album to make the Billboard 200 with Live: Greatest Hits from Around the World (#111). Their three previous live sets, Live From Texas, Double Down Live and Live in Montreaux 2013 did not chart.

The Devin Townsend Band opens at 117 with Transcendence. It is the fifth time he has made the Albums chart along with one album with his original band, Strapping Young Lad.

Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt's compilation Trio: Complete Trio Collection opens at 125. The 1987 album Trio peaked at number 6 while 1999's Trio II went to 62.

The last of the debuts by veteran artists goes to country singer Chely Wright with I Am the Rain (#182). It is her sixth album to make the Billboard 200.
