Ozzy Osbourne in "Intense Therapy", But It's Not For Drugs or Alcohol; Ex-Girlfriend Suing Daughter Kelly

Ozzy Osbourne is undergoing treatment for sex addiction as he fights to save his marriage to wife Sharon Osbourne.

In May, Ozzy and Sharon announced they were splitting after it was revealed the Black Sabbath frontman had embarked upon a four-year affair with his former hair colourist, Michelle Pugh; however, last month, the couple announced they would remain together and fight for their 34-year marriage.

Now a representative of the Paranoid singer tells America's People magazine that as part of Ozzy's attempts to save his relationship with his wife the star will undergo "intense" therapy for sex addiction.

"Over the last six years, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with a sex addiction," the rep revealed.

The rock legend's infidelities apparently extend to sexual relationships with a number of women besides Michelle, who tells the magazine the rocker gave her, "the greatest love of my life", adding, "He made me feel like the most beautiful and worshipped woman in the world."

The musical icon's representative says he would like to apologise to Michelle, as well as other women he romanced while in the grip of an addiction to sex.

"He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context," the rep says. "He would like to apologise to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy."

Speaking on U.S. news show Good Morning America last month, Ozzy indicated he and Sharon had reconciled, saying, "It's (his marriage) back on track again."

However in a subsequent interview with U.S. chat show The Talk, Sharon gave her side of the story and explained that although she was prepared to forgive her husband, he would have to face the consequences of his actions.

"It's been very hard," she said. "But for me, I forgive. It's going to take a long time to trust but you know we've been together for 36 years, 34 of marriage, and it's more than half of my life. I just can't think of my life without out him. Even though he is a dog. He's a dirty dog. So there we are. He's going to pay big."

Sharon, 63, and Ozzy, 67, married in 1982 and have three adult children together. Ozzy also has children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.

In other Ozzy news, former mistress Pugh has set in motion a lawsuit against Osbourne's daughter Kelly, saying that she "slut-shamed, bulled and harassed" her in a series of Tweets.

Kelly sent off a number of comments on the service after finding out about her fathers affair, including stating "Anyone looking for cheap chunky LOW-lights a blow out and a b***job call [Pugh's phone number]" and going on to say that her actions were akin to elder abuse.
