New VH1 Series to Pair Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart

by VVN Music

Here's a pairing nobody saw coming, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart.

The hip-hop star and the crafty homemaker will host the new VH1 weekly series, Martha & Snoop's Dinner Party, starting this fall. According to the show's press release "Each will invite celebrity friends over for a half-baked evening of cocktails, cooking, conversation, and fun where nothing is off limits."

This is not the first time that Snoop and Stewart have worked together. Snoop had previously appeared on Martha's talk show, the two participated in the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber and, most recently, they were on the same episode of ABC's $100,000 Pyramid.

Snoop said "My homegirl, Martha, and I have a special bond that goes back. We're gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can't wait for you to see how we roll together!"

Stewart said of the pairing "At our dinner party, we will exemplify America's fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity. Martha & Snoop's Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way."

VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy added "We're thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture's biggest icons. Good parties are filled with fun, food and unexpected guests. Wait til you see what happens at 'Martha and Snoop's Dinner Party'; it will be unforgettable."

Martha Stewart has been a nearly constant presence on television for a number of decades. Snoop Dogg has had three TV series of his own, Doggy Fizzle Televizzle (MTV, 2002-2003), Dogg After Dark (MTV, 2009) and Snoop Dogg's Father Hood (E!, 2007-2009).
