Glenn Shorrock has completed work on what is only his second ever solo album, Rise Again.
Although he has had albums with Brian Cadd as well as live and compilation albums, this is Shorrock’s one and only solo album since Villain of the Peace in 1982.
“It’s been awhile, due in part to my infamous ‘writers block’ period, but welcome to my latest musical offering,” Glenn said. “This new album is made up largely of compositions written by myself and a few of my colleagues, old and new. It began as an EP, but grew with a little help from my friends, who all have different personalities – and the songs do too!”
Glenn Shorrock is known internationally as lead singer of the real Little River Band. A fake band with no original members still tours the USA.
In Australia, Glenn’s hits date back 50 years first with The Twilights and then Axiom. Post-LRB Glenn also had a hit with Renée Geyer with Goin’ Back.
Rise Again will be released through Social Family Records on September 5, 2016.
