Radiohead's Internet Presence Returns With New Song "Burn the Witch"

by Paul Cashmere, Noise11

Radiohead’s jovial little Internet disappearing trick lasted all of one day. The band is back online with a brand new song Burn The Witch.

Radiohead’s Burn The Witch premiered with an animated video directed by Chris Hopewell and produced by Rosie Lea Brind and it is quite stunning. The animation is along the style of Bob Bura and John Hardwick, the creators of Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green.

Burn The Witch is the first taste of the first Radiohead album since The King of Limbs in 2011. Radiohead has always been in the habit of drip-feeding fans so next to nothing is known about what the album will be like, although Radiohead management suggest it will be “like nothing you’ve ever heard”.

The last new music we actually heard from Radiohead was the unreleased and unused Spectre theme. Radiohead submitted a contribution for the theme of the last James Bond movie but it was rejected in favor of the Sam Smith song Writing’s On The Wall. Radiohead later gave their song away free to fans.
