Buddy Guy, Walter Trout & Otis Clay Among Multiple Winners at the Blues Music Awards

The Blues Music Awards were given out last night at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, TN with veteran artists taking the prize in numerous categories.

Buddy Guy took both Album and Contemporary Blues Album for Born to Play Guitar while Walter Trout won Song for Gonna Live Again and Rock Blues Album for Battle ScarsOtis Clay was also a double winner for Soul Blues Male Artist and Soul Blues Album for This Time For Real, as was newer artist Victor Wainwright.

Among veteran artists who won single awards were Duke Robillard, Doug McLeod, Joe Lewis Walker, Bettye LaVette, Sonny Landreth, Kim Wilson and the late Allan Toussaint.
