Paul Stanley Undergoes Shoulder Surgery, Misses KISS Benefit Performance

Paul Stanley missed out on playing a benefit with his band on Friday night after having to undergo shoulder surgery for a torn bicep tendon.

The band played as a trio on a four song set for multiple sclerosis research at the 23rd Annual Race to Erase MS benefit at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The set included Deuce, Calling Dr. Love, Cold Gin and Rock and Roll All Nite. It was only the second time in their career that the band performed without Stanley.

Meanwhile, Stanley was in a local hospital where he wrote "Tore my bicep tendon. Surgery reattached it with a screw and stitches to anchor in place. Not much I can do now! ... Thanks to my AMAZING doctor I WILL be great & ready to rock WAAAAYYYY before the tour! CAN'T WAIT!#FreedomToRock"

The first date of their upcoming tour is not until July 7 in Boise, ID.
