Pat Boone Unhappy With Saturday Night Live Parody of "God's Not Dead 2"

Pat Boone used to be a big fan of Saturday Night Live, saying he even taped it every week, but he told the Hollywood Reporter "It’s gotten filthy, though, so no more".

Boone's view of SNL got even worse this past weekend with a skit that parodied God's Not Dead 2, the current movie in which Boone stars (right) along with Melissa Joan Hart, Robin Givens, Ernie Hudson and Jesse Metcalfe.

In the movie, Hart plays a schoolteacher in a public school who is reprimanded for answering a student's question about Jesus. The SNL sketch, about a movie called God is a Boob Man, uses a similar plot but their version has a woman being forced by an ACLU lawyer to say that God is gay.

Boone told the Hollywood Reporter "This skit was outright sacrilege. They know if they did this to Muslims they’d have to be put into the witness protection program. There’s nothing sacred at SNL -  except maybe the words ‘Mohammad’ or ‘Allah.’ They’d never take those names in vain, but when they called God a ‘boob man,’ they took his name in vain."

He went on to reason "God has a sense of humor. Why else would he invent the porcupine and the giraffe? Something can be devilishly funny, but this skit is diabolical. God has only one real enemy - Satan. Satan ridicules faith, and they’re taking Satan’s side. They’re also ridiculing me and the film, telling impressionable young people not to see it because it's ridiculous. Then they throw in that the lawyer is Jewish to make the Christian look even worse, but it’s just anti-Semitic."

Yes, Pat. I'm with you on this.
I loved SNL until they got lost and depleted.
