Listen: "She Makes Me Laugh", The First Taste of the New Monkees Album

It has a sound reminiscent of the original Monkees' style but the song is brand new, written by Rivers Cuomo of Weezer.

The Monkees' released a lyric video for She Makes Me Laugh, the first preview of their upcoming album Good Times!. The set is due on May 27 via Rhino Records and is the band's first album since 1996's Justus. All four of the Monkees are included on the album including the late-Davy Jones via an archive track and Michael Nesmith, who wrote and recorded but is not touring with the band this summer.

Cuomo told Rolling Stone, "I’m super stoked to be writing a song for the Monkees. I’ve always identified with their musical aesthetic ... the chord changes and melodies."
