Deftones Vying For Number 1 on This Week's British Albums Chart With the Lumineers, All Saints

Halfway through the chart week, Sacramento, CA band The Deftones are leading album sales in Britain.

Three albums are vying for the number one spot at this point, Gore by the Deftones, Cleopatra by the Lumineers and Red Flag by All Saints and, to make the final outcome very questionable, the three are separated by a total of 333 in combined sales.

No matter where Gore ends when the charts are announced on Friday, it will be the band's best showing in the U.K., outdoing 2003's Deftones which peaked at number 7. Their last album, 2012's Koi no Yokan, only went to number 30.

Even though the Pet Shop Boys had the top album last week, Super is currently at 18, down from 3, on the mid-week chart; however, the other veteran in the top ten last week, Aled Jones, only drops from 6 to 8.

Ben Watt from Everything But the Girl stands at number 30 on the mid-week chart with Fever Dream while Zakk Wylde is at 48 with Book of Shadows II and the Dandy Warhols' Distortland is at 66.

The final numbers and chart will be out on Friday.
