Peter Frampton & Gregg Allman to Do Co-Headlining Tour in July

Peter Frampton is keeping busy this summer playing with some of classic rock's best.

Already announced earlier in the month was a co-headlining tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd in June and August. Now the multi-talented guitarist and singer will spend July on the road with Gregg Allman.

The short tour starts on July 16 when the pair play the Laid Back Festival in Chicago along with Blackberry Smoke, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Lil’ Ed & the Blues Imperials, Eddy Clearwater, Roomful of Blues, and Rick Estrin & the Nightcats.

Three days later, their co-headlining gigs start in Cincinnati and end on July 26 in Charlotte.

Frampton said of the dates, "I’ve been a huge Greg Allman fan since first hearing the Brothers Live Fillmore album. So this is going be a dream tour. I’ve had the honor of sitting in with The Allmans at their Beacon shows a couple of times and it just doesn’t get better than that."

The Chicago art scene offers a series of free exhibits, galleries and pieces that should not be missed. Its architecture is also a derivative of art and is a must-see. Most of Chicago's art centers can be used and seen absolutely free, so enthusiasts should definitely take advantage.
