Chickenfoot To Play Again...For Just One Night

Chickenfoot, the supergroup made up of Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith, Joe Satriani and Michael Anthony, put out two top ten albums over three years but have been almost totally inactive since 2012 with all of the members working with their own bands and on their own projects.

On May 7, the band will come back together for a one-night event at Harrah's Lake Tahoe that they are calling Cinqo de Foot. Tickets for the appearance go on sale Friday, March 4 through Ticketmaster.

Chickenfoot started when Hagar, Anthony and Smith jammed at Sammy's club Cabo Wabo in Mexico. When they made the decision to go legit, they brought in Satriani with whom Hagar and Anthony had worked earlier in the decade in a group called Planet Us.

They played their first show in 2008 and released their self-titled debut on June 5, 2009. The album went to number 4 in the U.S. and was later certified Gold. They followed up a little over two years later with Chickenfoot III which peaked at number 9 and recorded the subsequent tour, with Kenny Aronoff sitting in for Smith, for release in 2012 as LV.
