Watch: Sleater-Kinney Performs "Bury Our Friends" on Stephen Colbert

When Sleater-Kinney decided to return after nine years on hiatus, anticipation was high for new music. Janet Weiss had gone off to become a member of Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Corin Tucker embarked on a solo career and Carrie Brownstein formed the band Wild Flag while branching out into acting with the IFC series Portlandia.

The comeback album, No Cities to Love, has been a critical triumph and currently has a commanding lead in our survey of the best albums by veteran artists of 2015.

On Tuesday night, Sleater-Kinney hit the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York to perform on Stephen Colbert's show.
