Best of 2015: Uncut, Q, Mojo & Stereogum - New Order Leads All Veteran Artists For Best of Year

The year end lists are now coming fast and furious with the latest batch including U.K. magazines Uncut, Q and Mojo and the site Stereogum.

Starting with today's story, we will also keep our running tally of the top albums of the 2015 by veteran artists based on all of the various end-of-year charts. A reverse point system is being used for the top 50 on every list as most have, at least, that many positions, with a single point being given for any albums that fall below 50 on the longer lists.

Only lists that take in all genres of music are included in the tally so, for example, Decibel, which only covers metal music, is not used. In addition, the tally only includes ranking based on best and not on sales or chart position such as the Billboard year-end charts.

Currently, with five year-end lists in, New Order is leading with Music Complete (147 points, 4 out of 5 lists) followed closely by The Magic Whip by Blur (142 points, 4 out of 5). The top ten will be kept up to date in the right column of the site under the "Race For the Best of 2015" label.

Look for some changes in the top albums as less British-centric lists are released.

As with all our lists, here are the top tens from each source along with all other veteran artists to make the lists:
