Peter Andre and Jean Michel Jarre Looking For Top Ten Debuts in Britain

We're only half way through the week but two veteran artists are projecting for top ten debuts.

According to the Official Charts Company, Peter Andre's new album, Come Fly With Me, is sitting at number five on the mid-week chart. If the position holds, it will be Andre's fourth top ten album in his ten album/twenty-two year career.

Andre's self-titled debut didn't even chart when it was released in 1993 but, within three years, his star had ascended and his second set, Natural, went to the top of the British charts. It would thirteen years before he would make the top ten again with Revelation (2009 / #3 U.K. Albums) and Accelerate (2010 / #10). His last album, 2014's Big Night, peaked at 23.

Jean Michel Jarre has previously had five top ten albums in the U.K., but hasn't had one since 1988's Revolutions. This week, he could return to that rare territory with Electronica I: The Time Machine which currently sits at number 6 on the mid-week chart.

Also new by veteran artists are Sunny Afternoon: The Very Best of the Kinks at 23, Battering Ram by Saxon at 26 and Only the Now by Tom Robinson at 52.

The final charts will be out this Friday.
