John Prine Sets New Dates Into Next Year

John Prine may not be a household name for those outside of folk and country music but, to those in the know, he is one of the most talented and innovative songwriters to come out in the last forty years.

Prine got his start in 1971 with his self titled debut album that included such songs as the often recorded classics Angel From Montgomery and Hello In There along with Sam Stone, Donald and Lydia and Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore.

With over twenty albums to his name, he last recorded at the beginning of the decade for the 2011 album Singing Mailman Delivers. Then, in 2013, he was diagnosed with lung cancer but has beat the disease (for a second time) and has returned to the road.

His current tour, which is already going, has over twenty new dates recently added that includes five shows during a cruise and two at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
