Blind Melon Cancels Tour of Australia

Blind Melon have cancelled their Australian tour.

The Blind Melon tour was due to start in Brisbane next week (October 21, 2015). This would have been the first-ever Australian tour for the band.

No reason was given for the cancellation although promoter Blue Palm Touring suggests the tour will be rescheduled.

Blind Melon were touring with the original band and new lead singer Travis Warren. Original singer Shannon Hoon was found dead on a tour bus in New Orleans on October 21, 1995. He suffered a heart attack as the result of a cocaine overdose.

The band split after the death of Hoon then 10 years later, the surviving members Roger Stevens, Brad Smith, Christopher Thorn and Glen Graham reformed with new singer Travis Warren from the band Rain Fur Rent.
