  • 1980 - The Bee Gees sued Polygram Records and manager Robert Stigwood for fraud.
  • 1990 - Garth Brooks joined the Grand Ole Opry. The same night, Alan Jackson made his Opry debut.
  • 1991 - Elizabeth Taylor's seventh wedding was held at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch with Jackson giving her away.
  • 1998 - Alabama received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
  • 2000 - Busta Rhymes was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to gun possession.
  • 2003 - David Lee Roth dropped his $200,000 lawsuit against Van Halen.
  • 2004 - Brandon Boyd of Incubus was arrested at Laguardia Airport in New York after guards found a knife at the bottom of his bag.
  • 2005 - The Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang tour stop at the University of Virginia was interrupted by a bomb threat. The show continued after no device was found.
