Only the First Three Led Zeppelin Albums to Be Reissued With Bonus Tracks in 2013

Led Zeppelin fans who were hoping to revel in archive material from their full catalog in 2014 are in for a disappointment. Jimmy Page, who is overseeing the selection and restoring of the material, has said that only the first three albums will see the light this year.

Page wrote on his website "The first of the Led Zeppelin reissues - comprising of Led Zeppelin I, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III - will be released this year. I’ve also been working on some of my own material from the archives that will be unleashed in 2014."

That would leave Led Zeppelin IV, Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence, In Through the Out Door and Coda to be reissued in the future.

Specific details are few and far between for the reissues. In the past, Page has said that he will only include alternate takes and live performances that were "substantial stuff" and he did tell Mojo that each will be a box set.

Let's see if Page actually agrees to release anything in 2014. I have my doubts. The release of any expanded Led Zeppelin albums seems as likely as the release of Neil Young's "Archives Vol.2".
