Bryan Ferry Cancels Russian Tour; To Do Benefit For Philippines Typhoon Aid

Bryan Ferry announced today that he has been forced to cancel his short Russian tour.

Ferry was taking both his band and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra the St. Petersburg and Moscow in early December but cancelled the shows due to "local unavoidable circumstances."

Due to local unavoidable circumstances beyond Bryan’s control, it has become regrettably necessary to cancel the concerts in St Petersburg on 1st December and Moscow on 3rd December 2013.

We apologise for this disappointing news and any inconvenience caused, and Bryan looks forward to scheduling new performances in Russia in 2014.
When announced back in June, Ferry said "I am really looking forward to returning to Moscow and St Petersburg and especially to visiting to the other cities for the very first time. It will be a great way to end the year with these shows."

On November 30, the day before he was scheduled to play in Russia, Ferry will play a benefit for victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines. Proceeds from the date at London's Shepherds Bush Empire will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee.
