Amnesty International Releasing 6-DVD Box Set of Performances By Springsteen, Page & Plant, Gabriel, U2 and Many More

Amnesty International surprised the music world with the announcement of ¡Released!, a 6-DVD box set with performances from their 28 benefit concerts between 1986 and 1998. Among the performers showcased are Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, Peter Gabriel, Sting, U2, Radiohead, Lou Reed and many more.  Shout Factory will release the set in North America on November 5 while Eagle Entertainment will handle the album for the rest of the world.

The 6-DVD set will include 120 song performances over 12 hours of footage along with another five hours of interviews, additional performances and other bonus features.

A 2-CD 30-song best-of compilation will be released the same day. A separate source adds that there will be a digital release with all 120 performances from the DVD set along with four separate CD releases covering each of the four main concerts.

The footage has been compiled into four separate films, three of which have never been released:

  • The September and October 1988 Human Rights Now! tour.
