Set List: Boston Strong Benefit @ TD Garden, Boston

On Thursday night, a long list of artists took to the stage of the TD Garden in Boston in support of the charity Boston Strong and their effort to support the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombing.

Coming a night after the Oklahoma tornado benefit and with a stronger lineup, it was amazing that this powerhouse lineup was not televised somewhere. Instead, people were relegated to viewing the show on-line with numerous sites still offering a streamed version of the show.

Be ready, though, to invest 5-1/2 hours watching artists ranging from rockers Aerosmith and Boston to the R&B of the J. Geils Band and the boy-band sounds of New Kids on the Block. It was the New Kids who provided some of the biggest surprises of the night as they performed with the very un-boy band like Dropkick Murphys and, during their own set, brought out both Bell Biv DeVoe and Boyz II Men.

The end of the concert was also one big singalong on the Beatles' anthemic (and appropriate) Come Together and the Standels' Dirty Water.

Surprised U2 was not involved. Hopefully there was a good reason like maybe they were all sick and in the hospital that day. Those 4 would be pushing fish n' chips if it wasn't for Boston. Shame!
