Guns N' Roses Well On Way to New Album

It took 17 years for Guns N' Roses to release an album of new material after the Use Your Illusion sets but it looks like they may bring in their next album in considerably less time.

Guitarist Richard Fortus has confirmed to Noise11.com news that the band was spent a lot of time in the studio working on the next album and that many of the songs have been completed.

Fortus, who is also the guitarist for Australia’s The Dead Daisies, told Noise11 that while the album has mostly been completed it won’t be released this year but maybe in 2014.

Their last studio album of original material, Chinese Democracy, was released in November 2008 after more than 10 years in the making. While Axl Rose was the only original member featured on the album, it was the first album of new and original material released under the Guns ‘N Roses name since the 1991 Use Your Illusion albums.

Guns ‘N Roses also released the covers record The Spaghetti Incident? in 1993. It was the last album to feature Rose with Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, and Gilby Clarke. Dizzy Reed played on Chinese Democracy and is still also currently a permanent member of Guns ‘N Roses touring band.

This is actually one of my favorite bands. I wonder why it always take them years to release a new album.

Anyone who has ever seen Guns n' Roses, aka G n' R past or present cannot honestly say that they haven't put on the best R & R show they have ever seen. Yes, there have been trials and tribulations along the way but when the band is on, they are ON. Congrats to all who have graced this band and for us true fans, we would be honored with any new material that would continue.
