  • 1968 - Jim Morrison was arrested for being drunk in public and harassing a security guard in a Las Vegas movie theater.
  • 1970 - An anti-war benefit concert was held at Madison Square Garden in New York with Judy Collins, Blood, Sweat and Tears, the Rascals, Harry Belafonte, Dave Brubeck and the cast of Hair.
  • 1978 - Ted Nugent is asked to sign a fans arm with a bowie knife and does so.
  • 1980 - The original Ants split with Adam Ant.
  • 1982 - Jimmy Fortune performed for the first time with the Statler Brothers.
  • 1984 - Tommy Lee of Motley Crue assaulted a fan at a show in Buffalo, NY after the fan told him he had seen Lee's girlfriend in the latest issue of Penthouse. It was true but Lee was not aware of it.
  • 1988 - Pink Floyd floated a large inflatable bed down the Themes to promote their album A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
  • 1990 - Aaron Neville performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXIV.
  • 1991 - Gloria Estefan performs live for the first time since injuring her back in a bus accident on the American Music Awards.
  • 1996 - Diana Ross performs in half time show at Super Bowl XXX.
  • 1998 - Country's Tracey Lawrence was ordered to pay $500 to a Las Vegas women's shelter as his sentence for battery. He had been arrested in September after an argument with his wife.
  • 1999 - Pat Boone formed Gold Records who will only sign artists 45 and older. The first artist aboard is Jack Jones.
  • 2004 - James Brown is arrested and charged with domestic violence after pushing his wife to the floor.
  • 2005 - Ryan Vikedal left Nickelback.
