Black Sabbath In the Studio With Producer Rick Rubin

Black Sabbath is in the studio working on a new album with producer Rick Rubin according to Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon is in Australia and hosted the Australian Commercial Radio Awards on Saturday night. In an interview with Merrick Watts on Triple M she not only talked about new music from Black Sabbath but also said that Black Sabbath would tour in 2013.

The current Black Sabbath line-up includes Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi. The group performed for the first time in seven years in May.

Founding drummer Bill Ward departed the band just prior to the commencement of the live shows over a legal dispute.

Rubin’s most recent production work can be heard on the new ZZ Top album La Futura.
