Motorhead Latest to Get Mad Over Release Pricing

In a situation reminiscent of Elvis Costello's comments on Amazon's pricing for his Return of the Spectacular Spinning Songbook set (Elvis Costello Says "Please Don't Buy My New Album), Motorhead have come out against the price point on a box set of their early recordings.

Motorhead Complete Early Years is retailing for over $600.

The band have no control over the early recordings but do not want fans to think that they are behind the costly box.

Unfortunately greed once again rears its yapping head,” says iconic frontman Lemmy Kilmister. “I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists!”

Motorhead’s latest release is the CD The World Is Yours and DVD The World is Ours Vol 1 – Everywhere Further Than Everyplace Else.
