The Flaming Lips have been busily recording songs with a wide palate of artists for an upcoming collaboration album.

Rolling Stone reports that the group is now preparing to record with Bon Iver for the album that they plan to release in time for Record Store Day.

They’ve already recorded songs with Nick Cave, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Neon Indian and previous collaborators Plastic Ono Band.

The Bon Iver song is not yet finished, but ringleader Wayne Coyne is already pitching out to other artists, including Lykke Li, Erykah Badu and, for some reason, Ke$ha.

He told RS with regards to Ke$ha: “We knew that she was a fan. There are a lot of these sort of druggy outlets out there that people get connected through.”

Both the Nick Cave and Yoko Ono parts were recorded remotely, but he didn’t confirm whether they’ll actually share studio space with the other artists.

The plan is to have the album out in April.
