LaToya Jackson Hospitalized for Severe Hand Pain

La Toya Jackson has checked into a hospital after experiencing "unbearable pain" in her hand.

The 55-year-old singer feared she had suffered an infection on her left hand following a trip to a nail salon. She decided to seek medical assistance after the pain became too much and kept fans informed on her progress via Twitter.

At Cedars-Sinai Hospital N BH. Woke up in unbearable pain! Index finger on my left hand is completely swollen & on fire.

Had my nails done, I wonder if that has anything to do with it (sic)?

I'm not 1 to go 2 the hospital 4 anything but this pain is so excruciating!

LaToya was released from Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She is still experiencing discomfort and has been referred to another medical expert.
