Chart Watch Canada: Week Ending January 7, 2010

Our weekly recap of veteran artists on the current Canadian music charts.  Chart highlights:

  • Susan Boyle continues to top the Canadian album charts for the sixth week in a row but, after six non-consecutive weeks as the top album by a veteran artists, Michael Jackson falls 16 to 30, allowing Them Crooked Vultures (#21) and Bon Jovi (#24) to pass him.
  • It was a very mixed week for veteran artists on the Canadian album chart as many fell from their Holiday season highs while a number of others surged back up the charts.  Roseanne Cash's The List jumped 84 to 59 on the Albums and 10 to 5 on the Country Albums chart to give her the top ranking Country Album by a veteran artist.
