Beatles' Remasters Coming to Vinyl
Mojo magazine has gotten word from Jeff Jones, the CEO of Apple Corps, that work is currently being done on the remastered Beatles catalog to bring the albums out on vinyl.
Jones spoke exclusively with Mojo, telling them "We're working on them now. I don't have a release date. To put a release date next to them forces us into a situation where we're releasing something that might not be ready."
Indications are that these will be available in box sets and, presumably, as separate albums.
Of course, there is still no word on a digital release of the catalog, but that isn't stopping a Santa Cruz website from selling the tracks at a mere 25 cents a piece. EMI is, understandably, not happy with the situation and are looking into their options (and, no, we're not giving out the site address because we are not fans of the illegal trading of music, ESPECIALLY by those who attempt to make a profit with it).
