Mott the Hoople to Reunite, Springsteen Album Debuts on NPR, more

It looks like Mott the Hoople are back together, at least for two nights. The original lineup of Ian Hunter, Mick Ralphs, Verden Allen, Dale Griffin and Overend Watts will play London's Hammersmith Apollo on February 2 and 3 to celebrate their 40th anniversary. There's no word on the potential for further gigs.

NPR will broadcast the new Bruce Springsteen album, Working on a Dream, in its entirety starting at 11:59 PM EST on Monday night/Tuesday morning. It will be available for streaming on the NPR music site until the date of release.

Twisted Sister's Dee Snyder has written the sequel to his 1998 movie Strangland and plans on returning to the role of Captain Howdy. Strangeland: Disciple is already set to be rated NC-17 according to Snyder.

The original lineup of Alice Cooper will reunite in mid-March at the Monster Mania Conference in Cherry Hill, New Jersey for an autograph signing session. Cooper, Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neil Smith (along with Glenn Buxton who passed away in 1997) were known collectively as Alice Cooper for the recording of Killer, Love It To Death, School's Out and Billion Dollar Babies.

Wanda Jackson reacted to her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, telling The Tennessean, "I was in shock for a moment and then I began to cry. There are a lot of other halls of fame, and I'm in a lot of others around the whole world, but we all know that this is the big one. I'm thrilled to be in with all of my buddies...Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash...the guys I worked with in the 1950s. So now it's official that Elvis was right: I could sing this music, and I still can and do."

Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols has lost his radio show gig after Los Angeles' Indie 103.1 announced they were going off the air for a web-only presence. He's looking for other ways to keep Jonesey's Jukebox going.
